Oscar Shorts to be shown at HCH Library




Back by popular demand!


A free screening of the Oscar nominated Short Films will be shown at the Henry Carter Hull Library. The documentary shorts (184 minutes with intermission) will be shown Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 1:30 pm

A free screening of the Oscar nominated Live Action and Animated Shorts (218 minutes with intermission) will be shown Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 1:30 pm).  No registration required for either of these events.
HCH Library is open on Sundays from January through the end of March.

Free SAT Practice Test and "Scores Back" Report on February 1st at 10:00 am

 
Free SAT Practice Test on February 1st at 10:00 am at HCH
Be prepared for the actual SAT Exam by taking a free practice exam under real timed test taking circumstances. Receive an individualized printed report of results for each question along with a trend analysis. The “Scores Back” session on Thursday, February 13, 2014 will provide students with some helpful tips on how to best prepare for optimal performance on the SAT.  The exam is administered and scored by the Princeton Review. Students may bring a non-scientific calculator and snacks.  The practice test is free and open to all students. Please register at hchlibrary.org/teens.

out. These streaming movie players are loaded with Netflix and conveniently hook into your television.

Author Chris Pagliuco to give history talk on January 27





Chris Pagliuco, author of The Great Escape of Edward Whalley and William Goffe will be giving a talk at the library about his book on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 6:30 pm.

The Great Escape of Edward Whalley and William Goffe is the captivating story of two of the judges that sentenced Charles I to death in the 1600s. When Charles II took the throne, these two “Regicides” fled to New England, ending up in New Haven where the Crown pursued them. Please register at hchlibrary.org.
