Microsoft Office on all public PCs at HCH Library


NEW at HCH Library!!


Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher 2010 is now available on all public PCs in the library. 

Flash drives may be used to upload/download files on all of these computers.

Lynn Hidek Day! Thursday, April 25th


April 25, 2013 is LYNN HIDEK DAY!


Come one and all to The Henry Carter Hull Library on Thursday, April 25 from 2pm – 5pm to celebrate the awesome 27 year career of Children's Librarian Extraordinaire and Assistant Director, Lynn Hidek. 

After almost three decades at HCH Library, Mrs. Hidek is retiring at the end of April, 2013.  Join us for a fun afternoon of special events and cake. Come and stay a while or just drop in to say "Farewell". We’re hoping to see Storytime alums from the early days and newbies too! This will also be your chance to meet our next Children's Librarian, Kara Gilbert, and welcome her to our fabulous town!

Celebrate Poetry Month! Come along while we chat about Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and other poets. They will offer revealing commentary about life and show us how various techniques design their language. The exposure will empower your appreciation of poetry. A handout of the poems read provides for pleasurable recollections. Pat McKiernan will conduct the discussion. He has been teaching English for over 35 years.

Classic Bluegrass Concert. $8 per person, children under 12 are free. All proceeds to Benefit the HCH Library. The shoreline’s favorite bluegrass band, ”Ragweed” will perform at The Henry Carter Hull Library at 10 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, CT, on Saturday evening, April 20th, at 7:00 pm.

One Yale grad student, one Yale educated architect, and four contractors with high school diplomas: sounds like an unpredictable mix. Experienced pickers, their shared love of bluegrass and wide ranging musical tastes make for an entertaining live show. You'll hear everything from Bill Monroe and Tony Rice to Tim O'Brien and Hank Williams, with a few fiddle tunes, and original songs, thrown in for good measure. Special guest banjo players Randall Rode, Bob Johnson and Jacob Moore.
