Within the Silence Performance at HCH Library July 10

Within the Silence, a theatrical performance being performed at the Library on Tuesday, July 10 ,2012 at 6:00 pm, brings an actress and multimedia images to the library to tell a story set in the 1940s.

In 1942 President Roosevelt's Executive Order 9066 imprisoned thousands of loyal American families. These innocent citizens struggled to maintain their families while incarcerated. Witness a silent chapter of American history through the story of Emeko Yamada, a youngster living in Seattle, Washington. This program is prepared for students in Grade 4 and up. Families welcome!
