at Andrews Memorial Town Hall Museum Room

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the Henry Carter Hull Library, the Clinton Historical Society is mounting an exhibit in the Museum Room of Andrews Memorial Town Hall (54 East Main Street) in Clinton, that chronicles the history of the library using photographs, text, and a variety of books, documents, & memorabilia, as well as reminiscences about the people who played key roles in the library’s growth over the years. Please join the Society and Library as they celebrate this important milestone at the official opening of the exhibit on Thursday, June 3, 2010 between 5:30 and 7 pm.

The Museum Room is open Thursdays (June - September) between 5 - 7 pm or by appointment by calling 860-664-1771. The Henry Carter Hull Library Centennial Exhibit will be available for viewing through December 5, 2010.

Jumpin’ Jim Beloff introduces you to the basics of playing the ukulele including holding, tuning, strumming and making the chords. We will play through a dozen well‐known songs learning new chords, strums, tips and techniques along the way. Bring a GCEA soprano‐tuned uke and be ready to have a lot of fun. At the end of the workshop you will have made a new lifelong friend—your ukulele! See uke there! Registration is required by calling 860‐669‐2342.

Please come with your tickets to the Library lawn after the Memorial Day Parade; 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

FYI- the Library Building is Closed on Monday, May 31, 2010 in observance of the holiday. See you there!
