Now More than Ever! Book Fund Drive

Fall 2010

Dear Library Patron and Friend,

NOW MORE THAN EVER

This year, your library celebrated 100 years of service by giving you even more:
• A free Memorial Day picnic to bring the community together
• Programs and services to help job seekers and a state-of-the-art resume center
• The “I heard it on NPR” book display
• The Business Resource Center to support small businesses
• A Play and Learn Room for preschoolers
• Adult and Children’s programming that informs, delights and inspires
• And those wintertime Sunday hours you have come to cherish

This year, your library suffered town budget cuts that would have eliminated the Sunday hours you rely upon. Recently, the Board of Trustees made the painful decision to decrease our expenditures for materials in order to keep the library open on Sunday afternoons, January--March.

NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED YOUR HELP TO PAY FOR THE BOOKS YOU WANT TO READ, THE DATABASES YOU NEED TO USE AND THE MOVIES YOU WANT TO WATCH.

Donations large and small, combined with those of your neighbors, will give you the variety of materials you deserve. For example:

$30.00 buys that hot new best seller.
$50.00 pays for 2 copies of a PIXAR animated film.
Three donations of $100.00 let us get ALL the best-reviewed new gardening books.
Eight donations of $250.00 renew our subscription to ancestry.com.

Please respond by December 31, 2010 by sending your tax-deductible contribution in the enclosed envelope or by making an online donation at our website: www.hchlibrary.org.

With gratitude,
The HCH Library Board of Trustees, Rich Santanelli, President
