Learn How to Use JobNow, a Job Skills Resource at the HCH Library

Jobseekers and those looking to improve their résumé are invited to the Henry Carter Hull Library on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 6:00 pm for a live demonstration of the new JobNow service.

JobNow is an online service that the library has subscribed to which provides free résumé critiques and live interview chat sessions with job coaches.

Librarian David Boudinot will demonstrate the strengths of JobNow and how it can be used to improve your résumé or build confidence for an interview.

This event is free and registration is not required.

Clinton Library Open 7 Days a Week from Jan - March

In addition to regular business hours, The Henry Carter Hull Library will be open every Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Henry Carter Hull Library's winter hours start Sunday, January 3, 2010 and end March 28, 2010.

A free screening of Made in L.A. by Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar will be shown at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 6:30 pm. This free event is a collaboration with Point Of View (POV), PBS’ award-winning non-fiction film series. Registration is not required.

Follow the remarkable story of three Latina immigrants working in Los Angeles sweatshops as they embark on a three-year odyssey to win basic labor protections from a trendy clothing retailer. This Emmy-award winning documentary reveals the impact of the struggle on each woman's life as they are gradually transformed by the experience. Compelling, humorous, deeply human, Made in L.A. is a story about immigration, the power of unity and the courage it takes to find your voice.

Borrow a Ukulele from HCH Library!

Borrow a Ukulele from HCH Library

Teach yourself how to play the ukulele! Jumpin’ Jim Beloff of Flea Market Music has generously donated a Flea Ukulele to The Henry Carter Hull Library. The instrument may be borrowed for two weeks and includes an instructional DVD, songbook and carrying case.

A $25 refundable deposit is required to borrow the instrument.

If you have created a collection of ready to hang art with more than ten pieces, please let us know how we can preview your materials, or submit some examples via email, and we will consider placing your artwork in the library for our once a month rotation.

The library has previously displayed paintings, rugs, quilts and photography exhibits.
