Bill Conway presents travel photos at the Henry Carter Hull Library


CLINTON – Bill Conway, a retired photographer from North Haven, is presenting a slideshow of travel photos from the Southwest on Thursday March 12, 2009 at 6:30 pm at The Henry Carter Hull Library. See the Grand Canyon in the snow, check out stunning Arizona landscape photographs, and hear the stories behind them.

Learn about Bio-diesel at the Clinton Library on Sunday, March 1, 2009

Representatives from Solshine Alternatives in Suffield, CT will be giving a talk about the basics of bio-diesel, a fuel composed mainly of vegetable oil, at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Learn how bio-diesel is made, find out how to convert your vehicle, and see a converted Mercedes 190 which the Solshine Alternatives team races around North America.

This event is sponsored by Middlesex County Libraries "Greening Our Valley," an environmental awareness program funded by the Middlesex County Community Foundation.

See a real live wolf at the library! We’re thrilled to host the Wolf Conservation Center of New York and their 6-year old Arctic gray wolf, Atka! This program will include an awe-inspiring, up-close encounter with this important but misunderstood predator. Guests will learn about the importance of wolves in a healthy ecosystem and the efforts to save these magnificent creatures for future generations. This event is free and registration is not required.
