Long Term Care Seminar at the Henry Carter Hull Library, Non 16, 2009
A seminar on long term care will be offered at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 6:30 pm. Local care options, information about the Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care, and planning options available including long-term care insurance will be discussed. Adults of all ages are encouraged to attend this free seminar to learn how to protect assets while remaining Medicaid eligible. Marcia Bernstein, a licensed insurance agent will lead the discussion. This seminar is not affiliated with, or sponsored by, the Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care or the State of Connecticut.
The Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care is a program of the State of Connecticut that works in alliance with the private insurance industry. This program is a joint effort by State government and private industry to create an option to help residents plan to meet their future long-term care needs (care at home, in an assisted living facility, or in a nursing home) without depleting their assets to pay for care. The current average cost for nursing home care in Connecticut is at more than $119,000 per year.
