History of Children’s Literature Seminar at the HCH Library, Nov 18, 2009

Timothy Young, a curator from the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University is presenting a lecture at the Henry Carter Hull Library on the history of children’s literature Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 6:30 pm. This free lecture is co-hosted by the Clinton Historical Society and the Friends of the Henry Carter Hull Library. No registration is required.

Young is the author of the book “Drawn to Enchant: original children's book art in the Betsy Beinecke Shirley collection” which illuminates the development of childrens' books from the early days of American Independence up to the present day. Young will give a slide-show tour of the gems of the Betsy Beinecke Shirley collection and discuss the history of children’s literature in Connecticut.
