Governor Rell proposes to suspend critical funding to our library that will CUT
- Our library’s hours
- Funding for Free Internet access
- Access to electronic databases
- The ability to get a book sent from another library (Interlibrary Loan) or the ability to drop off books for return from one library to another (C-Car)
- Access to view the library catalogs of other libraries from one central database (iConn)
Our ability to purchase materials at a discounted rate, which means a 50% reduction in new materials purchased
In these tough economic times, patrons use the library more than ever. Help us maintain state funding that make our Connecticut libraries work so well.
Call Governor Rell at 1-800-406-1527 and tell her that you are in support of reinstating funding to the Connecticut libraries.
Please email or write our State Representative Brian O'Connor or our State Senator, Eileen Daily and let them know that you value our library.
