National Library Week is April 13th-18th, 2009

Join our week-long celebration of the American Library, an institution that shapes individuals, families, and communities. We appreciate our patrons and we’re showing it with these upcoming events:

Free Coffee in the Lobby All Week!

Food for Fines All Week!
Bring in canned goods with your overdue items and we’ll clear your fines for those items.

Edible Book Contest

Saturday, April 18th
11:30am - 2:00pm
in the Library Community Room:
Put your favorite book in your belly!

Bring your creation to the library between 11:30 am and 12 p.m.
Public viewing is until 1 p.m., and then the feasting begins!

This is an amazing opportunity to see all kinds of extraordinary vehicles up close. A dump truck, a backhoe, an ambulance, a police car, a forklift, a military hummer, a fire truck, perhaps even a race car will be lined up in front of The Morgan School. Bring the family! FREE

The Life of Emily Dickinson

April is National Poetry month! To celebrate, the library will host a lecture on the life and times of poet Emily Dickinson by Patrick McKiernan. This event is free and no registration is required.
