Do you feel frustrated when you come to the library and cannot find the information or materials you seek? This lecture will cover the basics of the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), the Connecticut library catalog (ReQuest), and an overview of the hundreds of electronic journals, newspapers, databases and magazines available to you for free.

PC Computer Basics Workshop
In this overview, we will cover the parts of a computer: drives, memory, motherboard, processor, and parts that are attached to your computer. You will learn what each item does. You will have hands on with the different parts of a computer. We will outline the difference between hardware and software, the difference between operating systems, programs and data files. Microsoft Office 2003 Basics: Word, Excel & Powerpoint
