Digital TV transition workshop by RadioShack at Clinton Library December 11

On Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 6:30 pm, representatives from RadioShack of Clinton are giving a free demonstration at the Henry Carter Hull Library on the nationwide digital television transition which will occur in Februrary 2009.

Attendees will learn why the digital television transition is occurring, what is needed to continue receiving over-the-air television broadcasts after the conversion occurs, and how to apply for up to two $40 government coupons per household to help reduce the costs of obtaining a digital converter box.

CLINTON – The Henry Carter Hull Library will be holding a bargain booksale blowout event the week of November 24 to December 2, 2008.

Genealogy Workshop at Clinton Library Thurs., Nov. 13

Representatives from the Clinton Historical Society and the Henry Carter Hull Library are presenting a genealogy program on Thursday November 13 at 6:30 pm at the Henry Carter Hull Library.

This free event will cover how to use Ancestry.com and other genealogy websites, how to search the archives of the Clinton Historical Society, and general information about researching your family roots.

Steve De Pino presents wedding photos at Clinton Library Nov. 18

Photographer Steve De Pino is presenting a slide show of wedding photographs at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 6:30 pm as part of the library's "From Behind the Lens" lecture series.

De Pino is a commercial wedding photographer based out of Guilford, Connecticut. Examples of his photography may be seen at http://www.stevedepino.com/.

"From Behind the Lens" is a special Henry Carter Hull Library series of free slide show presentations given by photographers and photojournalists who specialize in different types of photography. Holiday Craft Fair at Clinton Library December 6


Craftspeople and vendors from the Connecticut Shoreline area will present their wares at the 3rd Annual HCH Library Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Henry Carter Hull Library.

Crafts range from handmade knit items and baked goods to hand crafted soy candles and custom blended coffees. If you are interested in participating there are 1 or 2 tables still available.

Wii Tournament Wednesdays at Clinton Library in December


The Henry Carter Hull Library will be hosting free Nintendo Wii Sports tournaments the first three Wednesdays of December 2008 from 5 to 8 pm. Families and all ages are welcome.

Free refreshments will be provided and prizes awarded to winners.
