The Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton has won a Nintendo Wii gaming console in the 2nd Annual InfoAnytime contest, sponsored by the Connecticut Library Consortium.

InfoAnytime is a real-time, web-based reference service that provides live librarians to assist students, faculty and the public in finding information to support their research.

In the manner of March Madness basketball brackets, the contest began with sixty-four Connecticut libraries, and ended in a four day battle between Groton Public Library and The Henry Carter Hull Library. Staff, patrons, and library board members worked together to promote this service, resulting in 209 complete InfoAnytime reference transactions from May 5 to May 16. Library director Maribeth Breen said, “I knew I was competitive, but I had no idea how competitive the rest of the staff was!”

Watch soon for Wii programs at the library for all ages.

Access this free service on the library website at www.hchlibrary.org.
