Bill Hosley, the Director of the New Haven Museum and Historical Society will be giving a presentation titled "Yesterday Once More: New Haven Remembers The Carpenters," on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 6:30 pm at the Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton, Connecticut. Hosley's multimedia presentation illuminates the music of The Carpenters, explores their roots in New Haven, and examines their triumphs and tragedies.

The Carpenters, consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter, are one of the best-selling bands of the 1970s and all-time. Their soft and melodic musical style has inspired many and influenced countless bands.

This presentation is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
