Representatives of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum will be giving a presentation about the museum at the Henry Carter Hull Library in Clinton on Sunday, March 9 at 12:30 pm. Steve Cook, Head Curator of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum, will talk about the Museum’s collection of contemporary and historical Native American art and Betsy Peterson, Head of Information Resources, will be presenting an overview of the libraries, archives, and special collections of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Reproduction artifacts will be available for the audience to view and handle.
This event is part of “Museums at the Library,” a free lecture series at the Henry Carter Hull Library which showcases many New England area museums throughout the winter.
“Museums at the Library” is a forum for the public to interact with curators, directors, education coordinators, and docents from many of New England’s finest museums. Several of the museums will show slides of art from their collections, and in some cases, will bring real artifacts and memorabilia to Clinton.
Each lecture is free and no registration is required.
